GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Draw a circle for the head. Place an auxiliary figure for the torso underneath it.

STEP 2. Start drawing the lower body. Draw two lines for the legs. Sketch the outline of the arms.

STEP 3. Draw the outline of the legs. Add a line at the groin. Sketch a glove on one arm. At the back, draw a slightly peeking shoulder. Erase the auxiliary lines.

STEP 4. Divide the face with a line. Start drawing the cape. Draw the boot and mark the place for the emblem on the chest.

STEP 5. Sketch the bottom of the cape. Mark the fingers and ears. Draw the belt and outline the knees. Divide the torso into two parts. Add a second boot.

STEP 6. Draw Batman's eyes. Start drawing the emblem and add details to the costume.

STEP 7. Finish the emblem. Draw the muscles that stick out from under the suit. Sketch the mouth and nose.

STEP 8. Detail the face. Finish the body and the cloak. Draw Batman's boots.

STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Batman, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
